I am a Chartered Accountant and my ardour for engineering and passion for machines, guided me all through to a career in insurance and risk management spanning over three decades. From managing simple risk like a two wheeler to ultra mega power plants and aircrafts, ships , each risk has strengthened my belief in understanding the nuances of risk, structured execution, getting the details right, monitoring and implement risk mitigation process, setting up enterprise risk management set up

My overall experience with risk and insurance includes:

1. Role as risk carrier with United India Insurance company for 19 years, having the knowledge of overall insurance underwriting, audit, risk management and claims.

2. Role as risk intermediary with leading reinsurance brokers helped me to become a hardcore negotiator in reinsurance.

3. Role as risk originator with corporates as the head of insurance that helped me to handle many projects including 12 power plants, Sasan UMPP 4000 mw, Delhi & Mumbai Metro rail, 14 toll road projects, Windmills, aviation, Bandra Worli Sealink

4. Role as risk facilitator cum CRO with Indorama Ventures, Bangkok, $ 8 billion conglomerate, handled over 30 petrochemical plants across 13 countries including USA, Europe, South East Asia and set up enterprise risk management .

I am adroit in establishing a framework to understand firm’s risk requirement  vis a vis risk appetite and helping them with suitable risk policy. I am a proficient in structuring and managing insurance programs like Property & Casualty, Liability, Engineering, Aviation, Marine, Cyber security , Employee Benefits and medical insurance, all with skills in underwriting, claims management, reinsurance and captive solutions. I am known for optimizing insurance costs, consolidating multi-country programs , in   collaboration with leading intermediaries.
